Police Arrest Hisbah Officer in Kano After Being Caught in an Hotel With A Married Woman

The Nigeria Police has arrested a Hisbah officer after he was caught with a married woman in a hotel.

According to SaharaReporters, as revealed by freedom FM radio station in kano in their popular magazine programme "Inda Ranka", the official was arrested in Sabon Gari Area of the State.

Although the name of the official is yet to be revealed but he is in charge of arresting beggars and prostitutes in Kano Metro Area.

His arrest followed after the husband to the married woman laid a complaint. A two man committee has been set up to look into the matter as revealed by Kano Hisbah Commander, Muhammed Haruna.

Hisbah was setup to enforce Sharia in most northern part of Nigeria

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries. According to a report published by the British Government, the G7 nations want to consent to a “nature Compact” that will “halt and reverse: biodiversity loss by 2030.
