Tension in Orlu, Imo State As Nigeria Army Launches Airstrike In Search Of ESN of IPOB

The Nigeria Army and Nigeria Air Force are in a show of force by conducting air bombardment in Orlu community in Imo State.

The Air strike is believed to be in connection in the dislodging of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) formed by IPOB.

The Airstrike started on Thursday noon with tensions and cries all over the communities with videos and images surfacing online on social media.

The ESN operatives in January had a bloody clash with the Nigerian Army from Obinze barracks, where four soldiers were reportedly killed.

The search for the ESN has been going on for number of days now with the deployment of gun trucks, combat helicopters and soldiers into Orlu community.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries. According to a report published by the British Government, the G7 nations want to consent to a “nature Compact” that will “halt and reverse: biodiversity loss by 2030.
