Broda Shaggi: Hunger Pushed Me Into Comedy


Popular Nigerian Comedian Broda Shaggi has revealed why he joined the comedy industry.

He said it was out of hunger that made him to join comedy.

He stated this during the private screening of ‘Ponzi’, an upcoming movie, in Lagos.

He said following the demise of his father, he left his hometown Ikenne, Ogun State to Lagos to live with his aunt in the Makoko area and continued his education.

He said; "I came from Ikenne in Ogun state. I left Ikene when my father died for Lagos where I lived with my aunt in Makoko area. She was the one who took care of me till l left the university. So, I was neither born with a silver spoon nor grew up in Lekki. Everything started in Makoko."

“I started entertainment out of hunger. When poverty hits you, you’ll be one to figure out your talent."

Broda Shaggi is a graduate of Creative Arts.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries. According to a report published by the British Government, the G7 nations want to consent to a “nature Compact” that will “halt and reverse: biodiversity loss by 2030.
