Bureau de change operators are the sponsors of Boko Haram - Presidency

The Presidency through Buhari's spokeman, Garbu Shehu has said those sponsoring Boko Haram are the Bereau de change operators in Nigeria.

He stated this while on Channels Television, adding that there are evidences of money being transferred from United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Bureau de change operators.

He also stated that investigations are still ongoing as some arrest has been made.

"The new Service chiefs are working with the IG and heads of intelligence agencies and there is a clear lead.
 
"A lot of people have been arrested in terms of their financing (of terrorism).
 
"There are a number of people who are currently under arrest.
 
"Bureau de Change are facilitating money to terrorists. We have already concluded with the UAE on Nigerians who are transferring money to Boko Haram terrorists and this also happens domestically.
 
"And I tell you that by the time we conclude this investigation, the shocking details will surprise many Nigerians," Garba Shehu stated.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries.
