Covid-19 Likely Originated From Bats - WHO

WHO has reportedly revealed that Covid-19 is likely originating from bats to human.

A team of experts from WHO had been dispatched to China over months to ascertain the origin of Covid-19.

They termed the origin of Covid-19 from bat to humans directly as "possibly likely" while from bat to humans through an Intermediary as "likely to likely."

"Although the closest related viruses have been found in bats, the evolutionary distance between these bat viruses and SARS-CoV-2 is estimated to be several decades, suggesting a missing link,"the report said.

"The scenario including introduction through an intermediary host was considered to be likely to very likely."

The reports from WHO on Monday also dismissed Covid-19 leakage from a laboratory, "A laboratory origin of the pandemic was considered to be extremely unlikely," it said.

The report did not rule out the possible origin of Covid-19 from frozen foods as the virus thrive under cold temperatures.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries.
