JUST IN: Two people die after receiving AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine

According to State News Agency Yonhap, The two people were receiving treatment at long-term care hospitals in Gyeonggi, which form the Seoul Capital Area.

The first person in the age bracket of 50, several hours after being vaccinated on Tuesday morning, the patient began showing symptoms of heart failure and experienced difficulty in breathing but recovered after receiving emergency care.

However, the symptoms recurred the next morning and led to the person’s death.

Another person at the age of 63 year old with cerebrovascular disease, died on Wednesday morning, four days after receiving the injection.

He had shown severe symptoms such as a high fever and pain all over the body since the day following the vaccination.

According to Health officials, it has not been established whether side effects from the vaccine caused the deaths, the news agency added.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries.
