Kano Hisbah arrests 39 teenagers for indecent dancing, using WhatsApp


Kano Hisbah board has arrested 39 teenagers for indecent dancing and using WhatsApp, although they have been released to their parents.

They were released after being cautioned by the Hisbah board after they were screened properly with the discovery they are first timers and all teenagers.

The teenagers were apprehended on Sunday based on reports from residents in the area between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm in Burji Kwanar Kwankwaso, Madobi local government, and at a restaurant in Nasarawa, selling intoxicants, group chatting on WhatsApp, and dancing indecently.

According to the Hisbah State Commandant Haruna Ibn-Sina, 39 suspects were arrested, out of which 16 were females, 23 were males, aged between 18 and 20 years.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries.
