Photos: Nigeria Labour Congress Ongoing Protest Over Minimum Wage In Lagos

The Nigeria Labour Congress is currently on a Nationwide protest over minimum wage.

The Labour Union led by Ayuba Wabba is protesting against the move by the National Assembly to pass a bill to remove minimum wage from the exclusive list to the concurrent legislative list.

The bill has been facing a stiff opposition from the labour Union. They are insisting that the bill should be dropped while urging all stakeholders to join forces in order that the bill should not see the light of the day.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries. According to a report published by the British Government, the G7 nations want to consent to a “nature Compact” that will “halt and reverse: biodiversity loss by 2030.
