Police Arrest Man For Allegedly Sexually Assaulting 9 Year Old Neighbor's Daughter In Yola

The Police in Yola, Adamawa State has arrested a man for allegly assaulting his neighbor's 9 year old daughter sexually.

The man, a father of six (6) children is a resident of Demsawo ward in Yola North Local Government Area.

In a statement disclosed by DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relation Officer of he state Command, he said,

"The Adamawa State police command on 29/3/2021 apprehended a 47-year-old suspect for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl.

"The suspect, after investigation, was revealed to be a father of six and a neighbour to the victim’s parents living in the same compound, at Demsawo ward in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa.

"The suspect took advantage of his neighbour’s absence and lured their 9-year-old daughter into his room where he sexually assaulted her.

"Luckily, her cries attracted the attention of a good Samaritan in the compound, who immediately called the attention of other neighbours that led to the arrest of the suspect by the police."

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries.
