Deal with break up issues before seeking for presidency in 2023 - Arewa Youth Tells Ohaneze Ndigbo


The President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Yerima Shettima, says the South East leaders  must ensure sanity in their region before seeking the office of the president in 2023.

This is coming in response to Ohaneze Ndigbo that they will negotiate with other regions in order for the South East to produce President in 2023.

Shettima while speaking to DailyPost said it is difficult to trust the South East with the number one seat in the country owing to calls from the region for a secession.

"Nobody will deprive them the opportunity to produce the president being a Nigerian but not when they have one of their own threatening the corporate existence of our nation, Nigeria.

"They have not taken any decisive step to condemn the action and inactions of those criminally minded people, but expect Nigerians to entrust them with power.

"It will be difficult to entrust them with power, it’s better for them to ensure sanity in their home before coming to the table to discuss with those on top so people can say they have shown commitment and not by threats and intimidations, those days are over," He said.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries.
