Kanye West shoe bought for a record fee of $1.8 million

In what is a world record, Kanye West sneakers which he wore during 2008 Grammy Awards has been sold for $1.8 million during an auction.

Sotheby's a US investment company made this known on Monday.

Kanye West wore the pair of sneakers at the 2008 Grammys and performed his hit singles, 'Hey Mama, and 'Stronger.'

The sneaker which was put out for sale by Ryan Chang, a New York based collector on April 13, was bought by RARES a a investing company.

The shoe is a soft black leather and was designed by West and Mark Smith.

This acquisition of the sneaker has broken the record set Sotheby's after it bought a pair of 1985 Air Jordan 1s for $560,000 which was worn by US basketball legend, Michael Jordan.

G7 Countries pledge to end fuel and diesel consumption by 2030

The group of G7 countries have agreed on a plan to end reliance on fuel and diesel-powered cars by 2030. As part of a comprehensive Green Belt and Road Initiative aimed at providing developing countries with billions of dollars in aids and investments required to curb carbon emissions, the G7 countries also see this initiative as an alternative to China’s belt and road initiative which China has promoted in Africa and developing countries. According to a report published by the British Government, the G7 nations want to consent to a “nature Compact” that will “halt and reverse: biodiversity loss by 2030.
